Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains how Salam Noor — the trading name of Abdel Alahdal, a sole trader established in England and Wales — uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. Nothing in this policy takes away your statutory rights.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences — such as keeping you signed in — over a period of time. We also use similar technologies, such as browser local storage, which work in a comparable way. In this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".
Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them. They may be set by us (first-party) or, for some features, by a supplier acting on our behalf (third-party).
2. The categories of cookie we use
We use as few cookies as possible, in two categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies — needed for the site to work, for example to keep your session secure, to sign you in and to let you complete checkout. These do not require your consent because the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics and performance cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These are optional and are only set with your consent.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.
3. Consent (PECR)
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we may only place cookies that are not strictly necessary on your device after you have given your consent. When you first visit the site, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent and are always active. We do not treat continuing to browse as consent, and we do not set analytics cookies until you choose to allow them.
4. The cookies we use
The strictly necessary cookies our app sets are:
- sn_session — keeps you signed in and secures your session as you move between pages, including during checkout. First-party; expires when your session ends or after a short period.
- sn_csrf — a security cookie that protects forms and payments against cross-site request forgery. First-party; short-lived.
- sn_consent — remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask you again on every visit. First-party; persistent.
If you consent to analytics, we also set an analytics cookie ([ANALYTICS COOKIE NAME]) to measure page views and general usage. It is set only after you consent, and never before.
5. How to control or withdraw your consent
You are in control of non-essential cookies:
- Our banner — you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the site. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics cookies; any already set can be cleared through your browser.
- Your browser — most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and let you see what is stored. The way you do this varies by browser; look for "cookies" or "privacy" in your browser's settings or help.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done while your consent was in place.
6. Blocking essential cookies
If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site will not work properly. In particular, you may not be able to sign in or complete checkout, because those features rely on the session and security cookies described in clause 4.
7. More information and our Privacy Policy
This policy covers cookies only. For how we collect and use personal data more generally — including the personal data linked to some cookies — please read our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about our use of cookies, email us at [email protected].
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example if we add or change a cookie. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Please check this page from time to time to stay informed.
